JEC World 2024
The JEC World exhibitiontook place in Paris from 5-7 March 2024. This year once again brought together pioneers in the composite materials industry. The German delegation made its visit to JEC World on 6 March 2024, using this opportunity to expand the lightweighting network and take part in numerous discussions on lightweighting technologies. Among other activities, the delegation visited the stands of countries including the Netherlands, Switzerland, Poland, Luxembourg, and South Korea. They also toured the stands of Baden-Württemberg and of Composites United, gaining various insights into different industries.
Visit to Boschen Oetting and Photon Laser Manufacturing GmbH
On 22 January 2024, the Lightweighting Initiative began the new year with a visit to Photon Laser Manufacturing GmbH and to boschen & oetting Automatisierungs-Bau GmbH in Berlin. Both companies develop lightweighting solutions using innovative manufacturing technology in welding and manufacturing process automation.
We owe our thanks to the two host companies, to Franziska Giffey, Berlin State Senator for Economic Affairs, Energy, and Public Enterprises, and Joerg Steinbach, Brandenburg State Minister for Economic Affairs, Labour, and Energy of the State of Brandenburg, for their interest in and support for lightweighting. Our loads are lightened as we look to the future.
